This week’s post is going to be another short one because I’m feeling a little under the weather. While I thought I made it home from our recent trip unscathed, I could feel something was up with my throat a day after we got home. I was in denial, telling myself it was just allergies, but by the next day it was significantly worse and I knew then that I’d caught a cold. It hasn’t been too bad, but it’s been several years since I last got sick so it knocked me down flat, turning me into a small Victorian child ill with smallpox.
I forgot how unpleasant being sick is, even with just something small like a common cold, but it did have some perks. It gave me a great excuse to stay at home and catch up on some reading and snuggle with Juno, who I think knew I was sick since he hardly left my side while I wasn’t feeling good. 🥺
Fortunately, I felt well enough by the weekend to get out of the house and see a Grateful Dead cover band that came to town! It was the perfect thing to do since it didn’t involve a whole lot of moving. Plus, we were able to sit outside for a good part of the show and soak up some of the sun.
That’s all I really got for you at this point since most of the week has been spent resting, but I hope you’ll enjoy the few photos I’ve taken over the past couple days.
Peace out and stay healthy! ☮️
